To use your time effectively, you will fly to the Solo Khumbu from Kathmandu. The views from the plane are amazing, providing dramatic views of terraced hills and the distant Himalayan peaks. From the moment you land in Lukla you will find yourself in the most beautiful mountain sceneries you will find in the entire Himalayas. The green Dudh Kosi Valley (milk river) leads you through deep, green valleys to the pleasant trade center of the Khumbu: Namche Bazar. Well acclimatized to the thin air you will slowly continue your trek to one of Nepal’s major monasteries at Thyangboche. It’s a peaceful site from where you also will be rewarded with spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Mount Everest and Lhotse. Fine trails lead you to the 5600m high view point of Kala Pattar, before we visit the Everest base camp itself. There will be plenty of time to explore the area around the base camp and to feel the power here. The return trek to lower altitudes allows us to breath more easily again and enables us to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery to the fullest. Nepal is a country of remarkable friendly and helpful people. You will be amazed by the peaceful lifestyle of various cultures and religions all living closely to each other. In combination with the spectacular mountain scenery, this classic Mt Everest base camp trek will create lasting memories of the impressive Himalayas.
