Additional activities - National Parks in Nepal

Wildlife jungle safari's

Imagine, you are siiting on the back of a elephant, exploring unique wildlife in one of Nepal's protected national parks... You stay in special lodges where the old royal families used to saty for their hunting expeditions. It's still possible!

As you may know, there are many national parks in Nepal. The country rises from near sea level in the south to over 8000 meters in the North. In combination with the monsoon rainfall one can find almost every climate zone that exist on our planet. Nepal has a great diversity of life-zones providing a home for a large variety of plants, birds and animals, in the high Himalayas and in the Terai at the border with India.

Most treks and climbing expeditions venture in national parks at higher altitudes, like Langtang national park, Sagarmatha national park (Everest) or the Makalu-Barun national park and conservation area. These areas offer stunning mountain landscapes and unique cultures. However, the Tarai, or the lowlands of Nepal, also offer some great, completely different national parks with hot, humid jungles, special vegetation, endangered species, mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles. A visit to one of these unique parks is a great extension of your trek or climbing expedition. Of course we’re more than happy to make arrangements for you, and as we’re completely independent on this, you may expect to get the best locations with the best services, too. Let’s have a look at some of them.
