After take off, you'll be presented an incredible number of Himalayan peaks. First you'll see Gosaithan, also called Shishapangma 8,013 m. Immediately to the right of Gosaithan, there's Dorje Lakpa (6,966m). To the right of Dorje Lakpa is Phurbi-Ghyachu, followd by Choba-Bhamare and Gauri-Shankar. Lord Shiva and his consort Gauri are said to protect the last one, at a height of 7,134m. Gauri-Shankar is sharp and very conspicuous during the mountain flight. Melungtse 7,023m is next followed by Chugimago 6,297m and Karyolung 6,511m. Then it's time for Cho Oyu, the eighth highest mountain in the world with 8,201m. Next is Gyanchungkang 7,952m an extremely difficult mountain to climb. To the right of Gyanchungkang is Pumori (7,161m), Nuptse (7,855 m) and finally Everest (8,848m) or Sagarmatha by the Nepalese and Chomolungma by the Tibetans.
Much has already been said about Everest, but to actually witness it face to face during a mountain flight is something else. The highest mountain of the planet!
