Mountain Consult is a small, but ambitious company setup and operated by Dutch & Nepalese organizers.

Each of us (and everybody who works with us) has a long time experience in organizing and guiding treks and mountaineering expeditions to many 6000 to 8000+ peaks in the Nepalese and Tibetan Himalayas or outside the Himalayas. It's a very effective combination, Namgyal Sherpa uses his extensive experience to organize and manage our professional treks and climbing expeditions, Armand & Eveline take care of finance, marketing, sales and our continiously quality improvement. We all guide our treks and climbing expeditions, especially on high altitude expeditions, and treks and expeditions for western travel agencies. But if possible, we always love to join our clients no matter what trek or expedition!

We are climbers ourselves
Many years we had the privilege to work for and learn from well known Nepalese and Dutch adventure travel companies organizing treks and expeditions. However, our passion for the Himalayas and our vision on trekking and (high altitude) mountaineering kept growing and has led us to setup and run our own company. In Mountain Consult we combine our shared experiences and specific strengths. It's the same passion that still drives us to offer you services that are fully comparable to (or even better than) the services of the most professional trekking and expedition outfitters in the world! You will notice this when you talk or mail to us. You don't talk or mail to inexperienced (but smart sales persons), you talk to people who are trekkers and climbers themselves, people who know and understand what you're talking about, what you need and who share your love for trekking, climbing and everything that make the Himalayas so special.

Reliability at affordable prices

Like ourselves, we know that all trekkers and climbers have their own dreams and visions about the way they want to explore an area or climb a mountain. Therefore we treat every trek or expedition as a unique, tailor made objective that meets the specific needs and demands you might require. To make things easy, we also offer you a variety of fixed service packages you can choose to organize your trek or expedition. We also believe that our western, 'no nonsense' approach is an important value, which makes things clear and reliable. A local company, based on western quality, that's what try to do here. If you work with us, you can expect to get high quality services at very affordable prices. That makes us not the cheapest 'budget' company you may find, however we're not the most expensive one either. Our aim is to provide services with a realistic price-quality ratio. We believe that's good you, for our porters, our staff and for everybody who is involved. We don't believe in squeezing the local peoples profit to offer you the lowest price on the internet.

Experienced and strong crews
To provide the quality we’re talking about, we only work with local experts such as: experienced, strong and specialized expedition guides, expedition cooks and support crews. We operate in small teams supported with the most reliable and effective services you'll find in the region. This includes nutritious and ample quantities of food, high quality equipment (western standard) and comfortable trek and base camp facilities. On remote treks and expeditions we provide reliable emergency communications systems like satellite telephones and laptop computers (depending on service package). This of course enables you to stay in touch with your externals and friends if you wish.
